A Diamond Image is a home-based Internet business located in Wappingers Falls, NY.

The History

In early 2005, I was planning my wedding. My fiancee and I met with a local wedding planner to discuss invitations - coming to find that she also offered favors, gowns, and many other products for our event! She ran the business from her basement, part-time, and seemed to be doing very well.

When we left, I told my fiancee how I thought it'd be fun to have a business like that. This got my wheels turning. I had owned other businesses in the past, but never a retail business. Shortly thereafter, "A Diamond Image" was born - selling everything from cake tops to ribbons, bouquets, books, unity candles, favors, and everything else a bride could need - except the dress.

In 2006, my husband and I found out we were going to be parents. Due to complications in my pregnancy, I closed the business. But when our son approached his first birthday in 2007, I decided it was time to re-open (I was going stir-crazy as a stay-at-home-Mom.) This time, I would concentrate on party favors only, and be sure to include Baby Shower Gifts too.

In 2008, I was bored with offering just favors, so I expanded to include wedding accessories, bridal shower games, baby shower diaper cakes, birthday favors and gifts, graduation party supplies, AND MORE. Thus, "A Joyful Affair" was born to include ALL of the different types of gifts & occasions products. No matter what the occasion or event, this site has what you need!

So thanks to the two very important life events, (wedding and baby,) my enthusiasm grew for the product lines and the business. This is the only business venture that has actually brought me happiness. Now including so many other happy events, I am excited every day to log on and add products, chat with customers, and process orders. I have the two best jobs in the world -- MOM and Business Owner.
